We at the Dana Green Team wish you and yours a very Happy New Year and best wishes for all good things in 2019. This year we encourage you to make a positive difference in the lives of others, whether it be the gift of time, a gift from your pocketbook, or perhaps in-kind services. Anything you can do to serve a greater good helps to make our corner of the Bay Area a kinder and gentler place to live. Please consider participating in these worthy organizations that my team and I support:
Make-A-Wish: This one is near and dear to me, as I serve as Chair of the East Bay Regional Advisory Council, which we are looking to grow. Please consider joining me. A wish experience can be a game changer for a child and can positively impact all involved: volunteers, sponsors, medical professionals, and entire communities.
Lafayette Library and Learning Center: The heart of our community, this amazing facility continues to deliver diverse programming for all ages.
Lafayette Partners in Education (LPIE): Why does Lafayette have some of the top-rated schools in the state? The answer is LPIE, our incredible education foundation that enhances the curriculums from elementary grades through high school.
Children’s Hospital Oakland: Anyone who has ever sought treatment for a sick child at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland knows what an amazing place it is. Ranked among the best nationally, this leading pediatric medical and level-1 trauma center is a beacon of hope for the families who enter its doors.
Lafayette Juniors: Their spring kitchen tour and other annual events raise much needed funds for non-profits that serve children, families, and seniors in Contra Costa County and neighboring counties.
Lafayette Chamber of Commerce: Serving the interests of the business community with an ongoing commitment to the City of Lafayette, the Chamber works with representatives from the schools, city government, community organizations, and all residents for the betterment of our town.
American Heart Association: What family has not been aided by this extraordinary organization that has helped save lives for more than 90 years? Their work continues to pave the way in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
Jump-in, and find out why the saying ‘tis better to give than to receive’ is so very true. Here’s to a happy and healthy 2019.
