Why ORINDA?

With a population of 19,475, Orinda is home to the beautiful Orinda Country Club and a wide variety of distinct neighborhoods. Commute Times

Oakland and Berkeley are both about 15 minutes away by car. Walnut Creek is a 17-minute drive. Via the Orinda Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station, you can be in San Francisco in under 30 minutes.

You’ll find the Taste of the World Market’s Food Truck Thursdays, 5pm-8pm each week outside of the Orinda Community Center, featuring a varied mix of food trucks and entertainment.

Weather

Like with the rest of Bay Area cities, the warmest time here is late summer (September) with an average high-temperature of 82.9°F. The driest time here is mid-summer (July). The coldest month here is January, with an average low-temperature of 34°F.

Hiking

There are at least 30 great hiking trails, trail running trails, and mountain biking trails around Orinda. From Tilden and Briones Regional Parks to the Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve and the Siesta Valley Recreation Area, if you like outdoor adventure you’re in the right place!
