Last Sunday, I saw Town Hall Theatre’s marvelous production of the holiday classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life.” In the story, George Bailey gets the chance to experience the impact he has had on the people of Bedford Falls by witnessing what life would have been like without him. In ways large and small, he had positively impacted nearly everyone in town. Without him, the lives of the others had taken ugly turns.
Lafayette is our wonderful town, and in many ways Lafayette Partners in Education (“LPIE”) is our George Bailey. Can you imagine what Lafayette would be like without LPIE?

The activities and programs that LPIE supports enrich the education of every child in the public school system in Lafayette, K-12, whether that’s through art, science, social sciences, history, technology or music. LPIE also supports instructional aides, professional development, school library databases, and more. To accomplish all this, LPIE employs a large number of instructors, many of whom live in our community.
As we approach the end of 2012, I’d like to thank LPIE for all the ways it works to maintain our community’s high educational standards, and the resulting impact on our children, our families, our schools, our neighborhoods, and our community as a whole.
LPIE is funded by contributions made by Lafayette parents and other community members, and it is also fueled by an amazing amount of volunteer energy. So, we’d like to extend this thank-you to everyone who contributes his or her time, energy and/or money in support of LPIE.
The Dana Green Team is a proud supporter of LPIE, donating $250 with every Lafayette transaction closed. In 2012, those contributions equaled $6,000.
