Mt. Diablo is so big and so beautiful — a true local treasure — it is no wonder that most homeowners who have any kind of view try to find a way to capture it.
Rarely, though, do I come across a home that capitalizes Lafayette’s Mt. Diablo view potential as completely as my new listing at 1200 Estates Drive.
It helps that Mark Becker, who originally designed and built this exquisite craftsman, situated the house perfectly on the property to do just that.
From the moment you walk into 1200 Estates Drive, it feels as if Mt. Diablo and the surround hills are yours alone, with Mt. Diablo centered in many of the large window frames and terrace doors throughout the main floor living spaces.
Walk upstairs and you’ll find that the master suite enjoys similar views, including the master bath, where you can soak luxuriously in the deep tub embraced by the view of Mt. Diablo as well as its reflection in the large mirror over the sink and opposite the window.
Walk down to the bottom floor of the home and you’ll find — no surprise! — more views.
All this, and you haven’t even wandered out on the terraces or through the tiered garden and outdoor entertainment areas, most of which enjoy Mt. Diablo views, too.
Just know, as beautiful as these views are throughout the day, those views pale in comparison to what they are at sunrise and sunset.
