Pacific Union recently released Contra Costa County real estate data, along with other real estate markets across the San Francisco Bay Area.
If you’re thinking of buying or selling a home, it’s a good idea to know what’s happening in other markets throughout the Bay Area. One word of caution, don’t assume that Contra Costa County general trends always hold true for our hyper local Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda markets.
For example, Contra Costa November data shows that homes were selling at 98% of asking price, the lowest since December 2012. And yet, this wasn’t the case in Lamorinda, where buyer interest continued strong. In fact, most of the homes I listed and sold in November attracted multiple buyers, went pending quickly and sold above asking price.
So, how do you know which Contra Costa trends are holding true in Lamorinda — and which aren’t — and what it all means for your plans to buy or sell in 2014? Just ask, I am happy to help you. You can reach me directly at Dana@DanaGreenTeam or 925.339.1918.
