Open House Energy a Good Sign for Lafayette’s Real Estate Market

Did you notice new faces along the Lafayette Trail this weekend? Those were just potential new Lafayette families, checking out the neighborhood!

We listed two Lafayette Trail neighborhood homes last week that represent two edges of the Trail neighborhood market:

Trail Listings Surface Fresh Lafayette Home Buyer Interest

These new Lafayette Trail neighborhood listings brought fresh home buyer interest into Lafayette this week, particularly young families from Oakland and San Francisco.

In addition to many private showings, we had well over 500 people come to our two Sunday open houses, including strong local interest.

Proof: For the right properties, the 2014 real estate market is still very active. People are just waiting in the wings, hoping for the right opportunity.

With home inventory low, many of these current buyers may have longer to wait. This buyer interest, though, is a good sign for Lafayette sellers planning to list their homes in 2015. Just know – if all that is holding you back from listing your Lafayette property now is that you don’t want to move before the holidays, many buyers are willing to negotiate rent backs so that’s not a problem.
