Sunday in Lafayette: Free Lafayette Safety Fair at Stanley Middle School on 8/30/15

Lafayette Safety Fair - August 30, 2015Whether you live here or are planning to be in town touring Lafayette homes for sale, consider making time to take your family to the Lafayette Safety Fair scheduled for Sunday, August 30, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Stanley Middle School, 3455 School Street. All are welcome. Admission is free.

Sponsored by the City of Lafayette Emergency Preparedness and Crime Prevention Commissions and Lamorinda Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), the Safety Fair is designed to be fun and educational, and includes various safety activities and demonstrations of interest to people of all ages. These include a chance to see police dogs and East Bay Regional Parks horses and speak with their handlers.

What’s in it for the kids? Besides the animals (always a winner!), and a fun bike rodeo that also helps teach safety skills, children will be allowed to climb on the emergency vehicles on display, including helicopters, armored car, fire engine and police cars.

Sounds like fun family photo ops all around!
