What I call “Downtown Lafayette” encompasses neighborhoods served by Lafayette Elementary School and represents perhaps the most diversified housing options available in Lafayette. Here you’ll find larger custom homes with graceful architecture and fabulous indoor/outdoor appeal, modest ones with manicured lawns, and many others in between. There are also condominiums and rental apartments.
A major draw for all is the proximity to our thriving downtown, BART, the Lafayette Library and Learning Center, the bike trail and, of course, our excellent schools. In addition to the school fields, there are intimate neighborhood parks to play in and creeks to explore.
Housing locations also vary from traditional tree-lined streets that weave through the walking trail to more secluded neighborhoods with larger lots created to accommodate backyard pools and enticing gardens.
