The Lafayette Reservoir is an ideal destination for the entire family. There are a number of activities to enjoy on a daily basis at this remarkably beautiful and serene recreation area in Contra Costa County. The 26 acre reservoir offers residents and visitors 928 acres of year-round open space for fun activities including hiking, biking, boating, fishing, paddle boating and picnicking. You can even bring your pet along with you, but keep in mind that they must be kept on leash and they’re not allowed either in boats or in the water.
