Fall Festival Fun

Lafayette Art & Wine Festival: Saturday & Sunday, September 21 & 22, Downtown Lafayette.

The Lafayette Chamber of Commerce’s annual Art & Wine Festival is perhaps the largest weekend event in Contra Costa County. Join the more than 85,000 visitors who stroll among the art and handmade crafts while sampling foods from top local restaurants and enjoying quality wines and microbrews, and musical entertainment on four stages. Burton Valley Elementary Fall Family Festival: Sunday, October 6, 11am-2pm. Enjoy games, prizes, crafts, a cake decorating contest, face painting, a cake walk, DJ, home baked treats, and more. For ticket information, click here.

Lafayette Elementary Westival: Saturday, October 19. Enjoy carnival games, face painting, pumpkin decorating, homemade treats, and a cake walk. Each classroom creates scarecrows or Fall projects displayed throughout the pumpkin-filled courtyard. Lafayette Reservoir Run for Education: Sunday, October 20, 8am, Downtown Lafayette.

The Lafayette Reservoir Run for Education is the city’s most popular family affair, involving kids, parents, grandparents, and thousands of serious runners from the Bay Area. 2,000 participants compete in 10k, 5k or 2-mile races through the heart of downtown, around the Lafayette Reservoir (10k only), and back. Trick or Treat Street: Friday, October 25, 4pm-6pm, Downtown Lafayette. For a fun, safe Halloween event, children and their parents are invited to Trick-or-Treat at participating merchants along Mt. Diablo Boulevard from First Street to Dewing Avenue, Lafayette Circle, La Fiesta Square, and the Shops at Plaza Center. This event is free for everyone and recommended for children 9 and under.
