In preparation for the first-ever “It’s a Wonderful Life in Lafayette” holiday tree lighting and community event on Friday, December 6, we asked Lafayette’s many third graders to think about life in Lafayette and finish the sentence, “I love Lafayette and am grateful for…” on special cards provided to them.
Their answers are now in and we think you’re going to find their cards very fun and endearing.
All of these cards will be on the Lafayette Gratitude Walls on display at Lafayette’s Plaza Park at the corner of Mt. Diablo Blvd and Moraga Road, during Friday’s holiday event (4-7pm). Plus, you’ll have a chance to decorate your own card to add to the wall, too!
For now, though, we want to thank all the 3rd graders who participated — and Lafayette’s 3rd grade teachers for their support in making this inspiring project possible. We hope to see all of you on Friday.
