Lafayette Open House Sundays – Plan to Explore the Lafayette Lifestyle, too!

Sunset Magazine-Sept 2015 coverWe really love the well-deserved attention Sunset Magazine gives Lafayette and some of our locally owned businesses in the magazine’s September 2015 Inside Bay Area column!

“This mellow East Bay enclave has fashioned itself into a charming hub of its own, thanks largely to residents taking it upon themselves to open independent shops and restaurants they tired of longing for,” the article states. “Now it’s a melting pot of locals and day-trippers seeking good food without the lines, and handcrafted goods minus the hype.”

There is no question that almost all families start looking to buy homes in Lafayette because of our wonderful public schools. Close access to our vibrant and continually improving downtown, though, is one of the many reasons most of us stay long after our kids have left for college.

Things to Do in Lafayette CA

Even if you haven’t yet moved to Lafayette, I recommend you get a jumpstart on living the Lafayette lifestyle by budgeting time to explore our wonderful downtown when you are in Lafayette touring homes for sale.

All four of the businesses Sunset Magazine highlights are open 7 days a week so you can plan to stop by before and/or after Sunday open houses: Venture Goods (Sunday: noon-5pm), Farmyard Darlings (Sunday: 10am-4pm), Rancho Cantina (Sunday: 10am-4pm), and Smitten Ice Cream (Sunday: noon-9:30 pm).

There are many other wonderful Lafayette restaurants and stores, too! I personally do most of my shopping and dining locally. If you are looking for something in particular, please don’t hesitate to email Dana@DanaGreenTeam.com if you want a recommendation.
