Lafayette Winter Comfort Foods

Wondering what to have for dinner? In our office, at about 4pm or so, we often find ourselves talking about our favorite dishes and local menu items, and what we are having for dinner. We love sharing with each other our go-to dishes and thought it would be fun to share them with you too (and lucky for us all can be take-out!). These Lafayette restaurant favorites are the items we turn to again and again for ourselves and our families after a busy day of work:

My go-to is a Sideboard bucket of fried chicken! – Ann Marie Quinn

The taco salad with blackened chicken from Bistro Burger & Grill is my Lafayette favorite. The corn and chips are a bit of a carb cheat for me, but so worth it! – Jennifer Ries

I love the pan seared salmon from Rustic Tavern.  And, Paxti’s spinach pesto with chicken pizza with the corn meal crust is one of our frequent orders! – Wendy Means

Our family loves a tray of chicken enchiladas, rice, and beans from El Charro. We order to-go in the back. Don’t forget their amazing chips, guacamole, and blue cheese dip! – Lauren Woolsey

We love the veggie taco salad from El Jarro Mexican Café –  Emily Forschler

The warm Brussel sprout salad from Pizza Antica is hard to beat! – Andi Brown

Todd and I love Metro’s burger and roasted Brussels sprouts with lemon aioli. The burger is not on the evening menu but just ask for it and they are happy to do it! – Dana Green

Patxi’s deep dish pizza or just a side of meatballs, especially on a rainy night, is always popular in my house. – Jill Montaquila

We love Uncle Yu’s. I highly recommend the hot & sour soup, potstickers, Chinese chicken salad and BBQ pork chow mein – Alley Munch

I love Chow for their family and dog friendly atmosphere, in addition to their organic to-go market which is great for quick lunch and dinner options. Their turkey pot pie is a family favorite in our house! – Sarah Kellar
