There is a new community event this summer – the Lamorinda Community Picnic!
Organized by Lamorinda Presents, a partnership of Lamorinda Community Volunteers, the Lamorinda Picnic is being held at Moraga Commons (corner of St. Mary’s Road and Moraga Blvd, in Moraga) on Thursday, August 15. The picnic starts at 4pm, with organized games beginning at 5:30 p.m. Games end in time for the picnic to “merge” into the Zebop! (Santana cover band) concert scheduled at Moraga Commons as part of Moraga 2013 summer park concert series.
The Lamorinda Community Picnic was conceived as a fun opportunity for neighbors and friends to gather, eat and play old-fashioned picnic games like tug-a-war and watermelon eating contests. There is no cost to the event but it is BYO Picnic or you can purchase food starting at 5pm.
