Lamorinda’s Friday Night Lights

Can’t make it to Levi Stadium in Santa Clara for an NFL game this fall? Didn’t manage to get to Flushing Meadows for the US Open? No worries. The Lamorinda area has plenty of athletic competition that can be enjoyed by all. And who needs a Michael Mina 49ers Tailgate when you can relish a meal of hot dogs, chips, and soda prepared by our wonderful parent volunteers?

No need to be the parent or grandparent of a high school athlete to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Lamorinda’s Friday evening water polo matches or Wednesday afternoon volleyball showdowns. If you enjoy a sense of community there’s no better place to spend a few hours.

During the fall months, Miramonte, Campolindo, and Acalanes High School student athletes partake in football, cross country, girls volleyball, boys and girls water polo, girls golf and girls tennis and the community is encouraged to spectate. These matches, games, and races are fun and spirited. Between the dates of Monday, September 24th and Saturday 29th, for instance, there are no fewer than 15 sporting events from which to choose.

Check out the athletic schedules for each of our local schools here, https://acalanesboosters.com, www.miramonteboostersclub.com, http://www.campoparents.com/activities/sports-boosters, and grab your bleacher seat pad, and get out there. My team and I will be right behind you!
