For a fun, safe Halloween event, children and their parents are invited to head to Downtown Lafayette for Trick-or-Treat Street, a new, free community event scheduled for Friday, October 25.
Trick-or-Treat Street is really three events in one:
Trick-or-Treat at Your Favorite Lafayette Stores and Restaurants (4-6pm)
Children accompanied by parents are invited to Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Lafayette.
Over 40 merchants along Mt. Diablo Blvd, from Oak Hill Rd. to Dewing Avenue, in La Fiesta Square, and the Shops at Plaza Center are participating. All will display balloons and a Trick-or-Treat Street poster.
Children in costume will receive treats! Please remember to bring your own Trick-or-Treat bag.
Costume Contest & Refreshments at Lafayette Plaza Park (6pm)
After you’ve finished Trick-or-Treating, meet your friends for more Halloween cheer, including a Halloween costume contest and light refreshments.
Movie in the Plaza – Ghostbusters! (6:30pm)
As it begins to get dark, settle into your lawn chairs and on blankets to watch Ghostbusters on the big screen in Lafayette Plaza Park. All ages welcome. Bring a picnic dinner if you want.
Thank you to the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce for organizing the first ever Lafayette Trick-or-Treat Street — and to all the merchants who are participating (see below).
